I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and for those of you in the U.S., a fantastic long holiday weekend.

I live in Florida and in past years tourism drastically slowed down in the summer months, but it most certainly has not this year! In last week’s members’ peer group, we discussed the remainder of this year’s business and leisure travel projections from different sectors of the industry. The consensus: consumers are showing they’re ready to travel and plan those trips that they’ve put off for over a year now. I’ve never seen an industry pivot as quickly and continue to readjust to their customers’ needs in the face of adversity as the companies in the travel and hospitality sector have done. It’s so incredible to be a part of such an impressive group of women leading the charge in this new and exciting environment!

Another topic discussed in our monthly peer group was what back to office is going to look like in the short and long term, and how leaders like yourselves plan to move forward as workplaces, employee demands, and company needs evolve. As we all begin to head back into corporate offices and embrace a more hybrid approach to work, we couldn’t think of a more timely discussion than what we have planned for you.

Our next Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Virtual Exchange, taking place on June 10 at 12 p.m. ET, will feature a live interview with remote work expert Sacha Connor, CEO of Virtual Work Insider, a consultancy that coaches organizations to work seamlessly across any distance. In this complimentary livestream event, Sacha will address the future of the industry’s workforce as the world transitions to more remote and hybrid workplace models.
