I know we’re all getting excited for the holidays. The weather is getting cooler, those out-of-office emails are piling in (as they should be; women took on more invisible work during the pandemic — we need a break!), and we’re firming up our travel itineraries.

For Women Leading Travel & Hospitality, that includes a trip to Dallas, where we’re hosting a breakfast and networking event for industry executives with a keynote speaker and panel discussion that will be leave you inspired and motivated as you head into the new year.

If you are director level or above, join us on Dec. 7 at the Adolphus Hotel, when Iris Diaz, chief marketing officer of the Dallas Mavericks, will kick off the event by discussing her career path to becoming the first Latina and youngest person to hold an executive position with the Mavericks (and you could stick around that evening to watch the team in action at a home game!).

Following Diaz’s keynote, an expert panel of executive women in the travel and hospitality industry will join Jennifer Thornton, founder of 304 Coaching, for a wide-ranging discussion on both business strategy as well as executive professional development. The panelists include:

  • Joy Rothschild, chief human resources officer, Omni Hotels & Resorts;
  • Stephanie Chung, chief growth officer, Wheels Up;
  • Rhonda MacAndrew, senior vice president of human resources at Greyhound Lines; and
  • Jodie Brinkerhoff, vice president of innovation at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Many of these women have roots in Dallas, and they’ll be more than happy to suggest stops to add to your itinerary. Register now to secure your spot at the Adolphus (Women Leading Travel & Hospitality members can attend for free!), and add a visit to Texas to the holiday calendar!

Cheers,
