I hope you were all showered with love this Valentine’s Day, in some form or another. To me, love on Valentine’s Day looks like my partner and stepdaughter sneaking out to get me beautiful flowers while I lay in bed recovering from a nasty sinus infection, and then watching my stepdaughter sneak the Cheerios we’re supposed to be turning into heart-shaped birdfeeders into her mouth.

But if we’ve learned anything over these last few years, is that self-love is just as important as the other kinds of love, and it shouldn’t come around just once a year. To me, self-love means giving your soul, mind and body whatever it desperately needs — a few hours away from email notifications, a new plant, a long walk, leftover pizza for breakfast check a few of those boxes for me.

Connection and professional development also check that box of self-love. The lack of connection we’ve all faced lately messes with us more than we realize. All of a sudden, we realize we’ve gone days without talking to anyone outside of work, or we haven’t left the house, or we haven’t bonded with someone over something small.

At Women Leading Travel & Hospitality, our aim is to give you all sorts of ways to connect. Executive women across all sectors of travel and hospitality are uniting through peer group calls, Virtual Exchanges, in-person Roundtables, and webinars, filling the holes left empty through forced distance and separation.

We also give you all sorts of ways to grow — as a human, a leader, a team member, and a woman — through exclusive content, a job board, in-depth research reports, and more.

Connection and professional development is something that doesn’t come easy anymore, and we shouldn’t take it for granted. Give yourself or a loved one the gift of a Women Leading Travel & Hospitality membership today, and get back to taking care of yourself.
