The Los Cabos Tourism Board announced the promotion of Susie Albin-Najera to director of leisure travel and strategic partnerships, U.S. market within Los Cabos Tourism’s private sector trust, FIPROTUR Los Cabos. Due to the growth of the destination, a private trust was created in 2019 as a nongovernment organization in order to establish a needed presence in the U.S. market, access to top quality resources for the travel industry, and added value such as marketing and promotions for its growing suppliers, including hotels, restaurants, activity providers and more, according to a company press release.

In her new role, Albin-Najera will spearhead initiatives and strategic partnerships to further enhance leisure travel to Los Cabos, with a focus on the U.S. market. She will also identify and sustain partnerships within the private sector to generate and enhance awareness and visitors through business development, travel industry education, special promotions, media opportunities and curated events.

“Susie has a proven track record of driving successful partnerships and cultivating relationships within the travel sector,” Rodrigo Esponda, managing director of Los Cabos Tourism Board, said in the release. “Her leadership, experience and innovative approach align seamlessly with the goals and vision of the destination. She has built solid trust within the travel industry, a presence for the destination in the U.S. market, and helped to position Los Cabos at the top of minds of the travel industry and consumer markets, increasing quality, value and sales to the destination.”
