Marriott promoted Diana Plazas-Trowbridge to senior vice president and global brand leader for select service brands.
“The day has finally arrived, and I am thrilled to begin a new phase of my career at Marriott International,” Plazas-Trowbridge posted on LinkedIn at the beginning of October. “It’s an honor to step into this new chapter and continue my journey with this amazing company; one that values innovation, growth, and outstanding experiences.”
Plazas-Trowbridge said she is excited for the opportunity to lead and contribute to the growth and success of the company’s select brands within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, and also the opportunity to work with an amazing team that has been leading these brands as well as launching new ones in the midscale segment.
Previously, she was chief sales and marketing officer, Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) and before that vice president, owner and franchise relations, CALA at Marriott.
“Over the past eight years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the hospitality industry, and I’m immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” Plazas-Trowbridge continued in her post. “The experiences shared, the lessons learned, and the milestones we’ve achieved as a team will forever hold a special place in my heart. I deeply appreciate the trust you’ve bestowed upon me and look forward to crossing paths with many of you soon. As I embark on this exciting journey, I am confident that under the guidance of Louise Bang — who has assumed the role of chief sales and marketing officer in CALA — our organization will not only flourish but also continue to achieve remarkable success. Congratulations Louise! Your wealth of knowledge and passion for excellence will undoubtedly propel our region to new heights.”
Plazas-Trowbridge is also a Women Leading Travel & Hospitality advisory board member.
