After I clipped on some snazzy earrings before for our annual Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, my 18-year-old son looked at me and proclaimed I was being “so extra.” Instead of asking him what that means — fearful I would look like a typical clueless Gen Xer — I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary. I guess it means “over the top.”

Well if that is the case, then the first ever Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Summit, taking place June 5-7 in Nashville, will be most definitely extra! The event will feature engaging and informative content presented by inspiring speakers; instructive workshops; private coaching sessions; and unique and valuable networking functions. There will also be many activations and other fun surprises taking place that will make the event very unique — and decidedly extra! They include:

  • A MinkeeBlue pop-up shop, featuring high-quality travel bags invented and designed by Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) member Sherrill Mosee, which are both stylish and functional;
  • A T. Jazelle pop-up shop, featuring inspirational, meaning-based jewelry designed by Women in Retail member Tiffany Narbonne;
  • An ABLE Clothing pop-up shop, featuring clothing and accessories from the Nashville-based retailer;
  • A Standard Shoes pop-up shop, featuring high-quality shoes for the battlefield, the boardroom, and daily life founded by Natasha Standard, a retired major in the U.S. military;
  • Yoga classes, which will be available to attendees each morning;
  • A headshot station, where attendees can get professional-level headshots to use on social media, their resumes, etc.
  • A massage station, enough said.

There are even more surprises to come, but as you can see, the event will be “extra” indeed!

Only a few seats remain, so if you’re an executive-level woman in travel and hospitality, register today. I can’t wait to see you experience the magic at the Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Summit!
