Hello from Women Leading Travel & Hospitality’s New York City Roundtable event!

It has been a couple months since I’ve traveled last and since COVID, every trip feels like an exciting adventure that overwhelms me with joy. Every time I get on a plane or check into a hotel room, I’m reminded of how much I love to travel. In particular, I’m reminded of how much I love and appreciate this industry and everything it has been through and has overcome by way of hard work, tenacity and innovation in the last couple of years. After getting to know so many of you through these difficult times, I’m certain the industry couldn’t have gotten to where it is today without incredible leaders like each of you guiding the way. It takes a certain type of person to get through these rollercoaster times of highs and lows, and people like you that have done it remarkably well are truly inspirational.

It’ so exciting to be here and we cannot wait to meet some of you this afternoon for our first in-person event of 2022! We’ll be kicking the event off with an amazing lineup of speakers and concluding it with one-to-one networking. If you’re not able to join us today in New York City, make sure you save the dates for the other three in-person events we have planned for 2022.

Speaking of events, last week we hosted our first Virtual Exchange of the year, featuring interviews and presentations from executives at leading industry brands such as Hyatt, Avis Budget Group, Adventure RV, among others. If you missed it live, not a problem! The recording of the entire event can be found here. We’ll also be hosting an interactive webinar (March 1o, 12 pm ET) about creating a culture of innovation within your organization. You can sign up for that event here

And last but not least, we need your help! Women Leading Travel & Hospitality has partnered with Cornell Center for Hospitality Research to conduct a gender diversity benchmarking study of the hospitality and travel industry. Follow the link here to take the survey. We would appreciate you taking the time out of your day to take the short, anonymous survey and help be a part of change! Please reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
