After four years of leading Hilton’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts as global head of DEI and engagement, DeShaun Wise Porter is transitioning into a new role within the organization leading pathways and recognition as vice president, strategic pathways and recognition.

“It has been an incredible honor to lead this amazing work, and together we have made significant strides in creating a more inclusive environment for all,” Wise Porter said in an email. Wise Porter is also a Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Advisory Board Member.

Erica Cary will take on leadership of Hilton’s DE&I team as vice president of HR consulting and DE&I.

Cary has been deeply involved in the group’s efforts over the past several years and brings a wealth of experience and a passion for driving positive change, Wise Porter said, adding “I have full confidence that we will continue to build upon our successes and lead us toward an even more inclusive future.”

Gretchen Stroud continues to lead Hilton’s enterprise DE&I and HR consulting teams, with Cary reporting to her.
