Last week, Women Leading Travel & Hospitality (WLT&H) hosted its third in-person event of 2022. The Roundtable event took place in Chicago, which was just voted the second best city in the world by Time Out (and the only U.S. city to break the Top 10)! Nothing beats the beauty of Chicago in the summer, except Chicago in the summer surrounded by outrageously impressive and influential leaders in the travel and hospitality industry. One of our attendees said it best: “I love these meetings with thoughtful leadership and relevant content for executive women to get together and voice our experiences on how to lead into the future.”

We’re excited to once again see our executive community at our next Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Roundtable event, taking place Oct. 5 in New York City. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, a true lover of travel and hospitality. Bradley Baekgaard is the founder of Vera Bradley, an American luggage and handbag company, as well as the Bradley Hotel.

In 1982, close friends Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller were traveling back from Florida after a “Trunk Show” of their designs when they noticed that all the passengers were carrying black luggage. They decided it was time to add some color to the mix, so they started a luggage and handbag company that many of you are familiar with, called Vera Bradley Designs. Vera Bradley’s mission is to connect and empower women and girls in their unique and remarkable journeys. We can’t wait to hear about Bradley Baekgaard’s journey as an entrepreneur, leader, and lover of travel and hospitality, including the opening of her new hotel.

Being in person with each other has been such a great experience for our community. As such, we’re excited to announce that we’re adding another Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Roundtable this December in San Francisco! If you would like to join us, fill out the form here and we will reach out to you as soon as registration is open.
